Puss In BootsThat cat was a wonder to behold
His brain was quick, inventive, bold.
When wearing boots he walked upright
His fur was sleek, his eyes were bright.

A magical being, he sought to bring
His charge the best of everything.
All that humans aspire to,
Is what Puss got for this boy who;

Gained a castle, lands, a wife,
Servants, title, wealth, for life.
And noble Puss? What of the cat?
Just what did he get out of that?

Annoying WomenWhen other women visit
They whine and whinge at ease
But if I tell of my private pain
It fills them with dis-ease

Why is this I wonder?
Do they see me in one role?
Am I just a giant ear?
To listen and console?

For if I should tell my sorrows
They glare with cynical ice
They spread low talk behind my back
About this evil vice

So I paste my face with a masklike smile
And listen to them moan
And I murmur insincere sympathy
Until carefree they go home

And when they've finally gone away
I damn them all to hell
I ight some incense in my room
To cleanse their noxious smell.

Vision and Being Beyond DreamI am being shown realities
Veneer thin yet cemented together
And each of them is a world

Often music accompanies these glimpses
Music that is full, loud, vibrant and rich
Instruments that I do not know
Music that I do not know
Music from other lands

When humanoids sing without music
It is more beautiful and more pure and full
Than any voice living that I have heard
There is no need for microphones
For the music comes straight into my head
And fills it

I do not know now who is showing me these things
I do not know it's name or state of being
But I feel that it resonates as a male
(Although these things are tricky - one can be

Crash Test Dummy With A SoulDressed in black into the grave I descend
Elegant black coffin with white lilies lying on it
Keeping up outward appearances
Consecrated not to the flames
But into the deep dark earth
Back to the elements I gratefully return
Veins pumped full of embalming fluid
To rot slowly in the warm damp earth
All-receiving all-embracing
Silence broken by minute sounds of beetles and worms feasting
Discarded flesh and bones providing sustenance for my brothers
Body that I once wore growing white fur and slime
While my spirit soars in infinity
The beauty of returning to the earth.

Does a crash test dummy feel stress?
Does it too look for deat

The ClownA man sits alone in an electric chair
The current makes his nose turn red and tightly curls his hair
His mouth is torn from screaming so he looks to redly grin
An innocent in torment so the cycle starts again

He drinks up all the power and
His life it does not fade
The media loves a circus
And another clown is made

A silly empty mindless thing
(It's brain has bubbled hot)
It takes a job wherever it can
In exchange for food and cot.

My version of a Desert Siren.

I originally sketched this figure as a possible drawing for my side of a recent collaboration, but I didn't think that it would fit as well as the drawing that I ended up using.

My eldest son Seth took a great interest in this drawing when I showed him the sketch for it. He thought that it was reasonable that the Siren was rooted to the ground, because the roots would have to go deep for her to find water. He knew more about the legends of Sirens than I thought that he would know.

My middle son says that he doesn't like it & that unless it only took an hour (which it didn't), it represents time ill spent.

My youngest son says that he likes the "hot woman body".

Funny - the responses that you can get from different people about an ordinary drawing!!

Thanks!! I was going to use the idea for the collaboration with you, but I went with the other one instead. The slant of this figure didn't look as good as the other when put beside your cactus.
