Persephone Missing Hades

So - in brief - as I remember the myth - Hades fell in love with Persephone, abducted her to his dark home where she didn't eat anything except 6 pomegranate seeds, which meant that she had to remain for 6 months of every year with Hades, in Hades.

In the meantime, her mother Ceres missed her daughter, called out various gods to look for Persephone, mourning her loss, until she was found.  Then she went even more crazy & declared that for 6 months of every year she - Ceres - would grieve for her daughter whilst she was with Hades (in Hades kingdom of Hades), and so would make the earth grieve too by being plunged into cold etc.

This is the story of the seasons.

However, what happened to Persephone after this?

From me reading far too many books (including old ones - BC etc), it seems that people sometimes fall in love with their abductors.  Hades seemed to me to be truly in love with Persephone & treated her very kindly after the initial abduction.

Perhaps then, Persephone also fell in love with Hades & came to miss him very much in the 6 months every year that she had to spend away from him, & this is what I've tried to draw.

Unfortunately, the face in the tree has ruined this picture for me.  It was not planned & I was happy with the drawing before it turned up in it.
