this is an exceptional recreation. I say this because the first thing I noticed were the sixteen people going inside the cave. All by all, the work has a three dimensional placement, and I feel like I'm looking through the fourth wall.
Reminiscent of New York Modern Renaissance movements of the early '00s, and late '90s. I really don't have much to say after seeing this. all by all, a thought provoking work.
I'm now watching you. I've only done one watch for a watch on DA before, although I sub easily on Youtube (and then rarely watch the videos), but I've got to warn you - I usually only read the first couple of lines of a poem on DA & if it doesn't hook my interest, I don't read further. I remember the poem that you wrote about your Nana though, and I remember liking it very much, so I'm not quite as much of a watch-whore as I might seem. Also, you're a funny, nice person, & that always makes a difference.
At the risk of seeming crazy and love sick, I am drawn to your art. To find my mind simply falling and letting go is an experience of wonder. To find such peace within a seeming web of intricacy is almost alarming. I fall far and fast. Landing gently in a bed of a world both unknown and familiar.
I know I am fawning. But the elation continues to glow as I walk... no, run through this morning.
Your works NEVER fail to fascinate me. I love the representation in your style, the details in fine line that you have employed make me wish I could do that! On first look the dragon seemed a bit off but after a second glance... it is wonderful. Thank you for choosing one of my works, it means a lot to me! And keep making beautiful art!
The textures in these drawings of yours are just so cool. But the most compelling thing in this drawing, for me, is the people shapes with the lanterns in the boats. The empty yellow spaces just really draw me in.
Yes, I understand. Very well done! ) Yesterday I watched a movie about Polynesia and some australian nature's amazing creatures. And about the end of the world)))) very informative, Italian film about Earth's future and continental Drift - this one [link] Fantastic ending - the scientist from far far future, may be 250 millions years after us will come back to our planet from outer space.... and will die. And the cockroaches will find his remains and will speculate what this unknown animal))) hahaha
Love your remark about the cockroaches speculating on what the unknown animal is.
I watched a good horror movie called "Insidious". For the first time in nearly 20 years, I actually felt a little scared at times!! It was fabulous!! It was by the people who made the "Saw" movies & "Paranormal Activity". I love the "Saw" movies, but "Paranormal Activity" isn't much, in my opinion. I even keep on forgetting that I've got it on dvd.
I don't know if you'd like "Insidious" or not, but it's worth checking out if you get the chance.
